Care Instructions
Cotton
Wash before sewing to allow for shrinkage and fading.
Washing
- Machine wash cold or warm water – 30°C -40°C to prevent shrinking and fading.
- Use gentle cycle for lightweight cottons, standard wash is fine for craft and quilting cottons.
- Wash with similar colours to avoid colour transfer.
Detergent
- Use mild detergent.
- Avoid harsh bleach unless fabric is plain white cotton.
Drying
- Air dry where possible to avoid shrinkage and to extend the product's life.
- If tumble drying, use low heat and remove promptly to avoid wrinkles.
Ironing
- Medium to high heat or the cotton setting.
- Best ironed with steam or slightly damp still for a crisp finish.
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight to prevent fading or yellowing.

Wash before sewing to allow for shrinkage and fading.
Washing
- Hand wash in cold water –rayon is weaker when wet.
- If machine washing, use a gentle/delicate cycle in a mesh laundry bag with cold water.
- Wash with similar colours to avoid colour transfer.
Detergent
- Use mild detergent.
- Avoid bleach; it damages the fabric fibres.
Drying
- Do not wring or twist – this can distort fabric
- Lay flat or hang to air dry away from direct sunlight, to prevent fading or yellowing.
- Avoid tumble drying – rayon can shrink
Ironing
- Use low heat.
- Best ironed with steam or slightly damp still for a crisp finish.
- Iron inside out to protect the surface
Storage
- Store hanging or folded in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight to prevent fading or yellowing, and to avoid shrinking or mildew.

- Machine wash cold or warm water – 30°C -40°C to prevent shrinking and fading.
- Use gentle cycle, avoid overloading the machine linen softens best when theres room to move

- Don’t wash in hot water, as it can melt or become shiny if overheated.
- For final garments, turn inside out to prevent pilling and to protect the surface
- Wash with similar colours to avoid colour transfer.
- Avoid stretching while wet to prevent distortion
Detergent
- Use mild detergent.
- Avoid fabric softener, as knit has a stretch performance, and it can affect these qualities.
Drying
- Air dry where possible to help maintain shape and elasticity.
- If tumble drying, use low heat; high heat can damage fibres and cause shrinkage or distortion.
Ironing
- Not usually needed as knits have wrinkle-resistant qualities
- If iron is needed, use a cool iron on the reverse side or steam
Storage
- Store folded, in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight to prevent fading or yellowing.
