Orders, Fabric & Cutting Policy

Due to the nature of fabric cutting, all cut fabric is considered a custom-cut product and cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty, damaged, or supplied incorrectly.

Fabric is cut to the quantity ordered and may include a small tolerance due to manufacturing and cutting processes. Unless otherwise stated, multiple units of the same fabric will be supplied as one continuous piece wherever possible.

We recommend pre-washing all fabrics before use. East Coast Fabrics is not responsible for shrinkage, colour bleeding, fading, or damage that may occur during washing, laundering, or use.

While we make every effort to display fabrics as accurately as possible, colours, textures, and tones may vary slightly due to screen settings, photography, lighting conditions, and manufacturing batches. Such variations are not considered faults.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible after receiving your parcel.

To assist with resolving the issue promptly, we may request photographs or additional information for assessment.

Where an item is confirmed to be faulty, damaged, or supplied incorrectly, we will work with you to provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Shipping & Delivery

We aim to process and dispatch orders as quickly as possible. As a small business, we do not operate with fixed handling times, and processing times may vary depending on order volumes and operational requirements.

During busy periods, including sales events, promotions, product launches, or holiday periods, dispatch times may be longer than usual.

Once your order has been dispatched, delivery times will depend on the shipping carrier, destination, and any external factors affecting transport networks. Tracking information will be provided where available.

While we are not responsible for delays caused by postal services, courier companies, customs processing, weather events, industrial action, or other circumstances beyond our control, we will always endeavour to assist customers with tracking enquiries and delivery concerns.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these policies is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law.

Customers are entitled to remedies for products that fail to meet consumer guarantees under applicable Australian legislation.
